Our Suncovers are made to order and custom-shaped to follow the contour of every individual caravan, RV, car, or trailer. They are suitable for long-term storage use, as well as when harsh conditions are predicted.
Suncovers are made from a superior quality marine-grade solution-dyed acrylic fabric which ensures they are one of the toughest and most durable covers available on the market. They are made right here in Australia and are manufactured for harsh Australian conditions.
Installation of Suncovers for Camping Trailers are made as an easy to fit one-piece system.
Across Australia, owners of Suncovers love the tidy, fitted look and functionality that their custom Suncover provides. Tried and tested for more than 12 years, they are backed by a trusted warranty.
Suncovers are backed by an impressive Ten (10) Year Limited Warranty. See full details here.
Suncovers are initially priced based on the overall coverable body length of the vehicle, excluding drawbar and hitch. Pricing also assumes the standard vertical side panel height of your vehicle applies (excludes ground clearance and protrusions on the roof) – for camping trailers, this is 1250mm. Note: If your vehicle is found to be over the standard sizing upon check measure, we will contact you to discuss extension options.
To proceed to manufacture after receiving your order, we will contact you to obtain further detailed measurements to shape and customise your cover accordingly. Information on how to take these measurements can be found here.
Lead Times for Manufacturing
When you place an order, we will advise an approximate amount of time it will take to manufacture your Suncover (commonly 2-3 weeks). We work hard to complete orders by the time frame advised however sometimes matters out of our control, such as shortage of manufacturing components from our suppliers or staff taking personal leave or holidays, can affect our time estimates.
If you have a very specific deadline then you must tell us when placing your order.
System: One-piece Roll On system (unless upgraded to a 3-piece Zip On)
Suncovers made in a 3-piece Zip On system have three sections that zip together.
The side panel is shaped similar to your vehicle/RV shape, but without resorting to joins therefore side sections are limited to 2050mm in height. Except for motorhomes, all vehicle/RV covers are padded to 2050mm in height and if extra height is required, we can sew on an Extension at an extra cost of $100 for both side panels. If you have a jack aerial or other accessory mounted flush on the side of your vehicle/RV roof that sticks up more than 50mm, you should consider getting an extension to ensure all vehicle/RV body parts are covered.
Air conditioning units or other protrusions mounted in the middle of the roof are not a problem as extra width in roof sections will accommodate standard centre positioned roof fittings.
Suncovers are made with a roof width of up to 2500mm (250cm).
If you place an order for a Suncover, you are entering into a contract whereby you appoint Stormcovers Australia to manufacture a cover specifically for you in the standard design that we usually use. We will not be held responsible for Suncovers that do not fit due to incorrect measurements being provided and any alterations will be charged on a time and cost basis at our discretion.
We endeavour to cross-check all measurements that are provided to us but it is important that you provide the actual measurements and not add anything onto the length as this will cause the pattern to become distorted and the cover made incorrectly. We will adjust sizing and pattern shaping where appropriate.
Suncovers do not ‘fit like a glove’; they are designed to be a bit larger than the vehicle/RV being covered.
Patterns are cut by hand and are not CAD software or machine-cut therefore some discrepancies can occur with the shaping on each side (only by a very small amount, if at all).
